Cyclists’ Rights
By any measure, cycling on city streets has increased dramatically. - In 2010, Rankin & Taylor won a $965,000 settlement on behalf of group cyclists illegally arrested, summonsed harassed by NYPD.
- In 2008, Rankin & Taylor won dismissal of criminal charges against a cyclist who was knocked from his bike without justification by an NYPD officer, as well as a $65,000 settlement for the mistreatment he suffered. The officer was disciplined and charged with perjury and assault.
